The FoodTruck Peugeot Concept Car

The FoodTruck - Peugeot Concept Cars

As with all manufacturers coming up with new innovative designs and diversifying to stay ahead of the competitors is crucial to success.
Its fascinating to see some of the new concept ideas coming through, however sometimes you do have to question how much time the designers have on their hands?

We have all seen the trailers parked in lay by’s promising us a delicious snack and coffee at a great price, but judging by the vehicles they are served from how many of us have carried on driving? Or perhaps you have been to one of the many festivals popping up all over the Uk and visited the food area and wished you had been more organised, because the vehicles are looking less than hygienic?
Well the design team at Peugeot obviously have, let me introduce you to Peugeots posh burger van, the FoodTruck, a vehicle concept created by Peugeot.

Cathal Loughnane, Head of Peugeot Design Lab, says, “The end-users are always at the heart of all of our designs. For the Peugeot Foodtruck, we wanted to create a complete food truck experience, not only creating a kitchen for the chef but a restaurant and cafe for the customers”

Folding Design Creating A Dinning Space

Folding design

Once on site the FoodTruck will fold out creating an area with an overhang. Making its own amphitheatre dinning space comfortable and personal. The cooking area is in full view of the customers, which will also add the extra entertainment factor.

The FoodTruck Seats 30

The foodtruck will comfortably seat 30, but remove the ‘old bus refurb into a cafe’ concept, Peugeots Foodtruck will open out with umbrosa parasols and a collection of standing tables.

Its not just about the food, there is also a DJ booth, so you can continue into the night drawing in the crowds and serve your culinary delights.

The foodtruck is designed to recuperate and recycle all waste. Once your event is over you simply fold everything back into place and drive away happy.

Well Peugeot it looks fab, and you can keep calling it a foodtruck, but at the end of the day it really is, just a posh burger van!
