Alfa Romeo Stelvio (in non Quadrifoglio trim)
Here’s our first look at Alfa Romeo’s SUV in non-Quadrifoglio trim.
The First Edition is fitted with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 276bhp and 295 lb ft of torque, coupled to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. This gives it a 0-62mph time of 5.7sec and a top speed of 143mph, which Alfa Romeo claims is class-leading performance.
The cabin is furnished with black full grain leather seats, electrically adjustable, heated and with memory functions. The upholstery is joined by aluminium shifter paddles on the steering wheel plus wooden trim inserts. Equipment includes a 3D satellite navigation system displayed through an 8.8-inch infotainment screen, plus a 7-inch digital instrument panel.
The First Edition model uses an aluminium 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine producing 276bhp and 400Nm of torque at 2250rpm. It’s mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission driving all four wheels through Alfa’s Q4 all-wheel-drive system. Alfa claims that this version of the Stelvio can crack 0-62mph in 5.7 seconds.
It looks great and could well be a huge success story for the SUV. Watch this space.
