So according to Driver Power which are the best cars in 2018?
With so many vehicles out there to chose from, and so many surveys which are implemented with perhaps a slight steer to favoured manufacturers, it is interesting not only to personally take part in but also see the results for the AutoExpress Driver Power Survey.
This unbiased survey allows drivers to be frank and truthful about their vehicles, giving results which thankfully mirror our opinions and reflect on the advice we give our customers here at Ultracar, who are looking for a bad credit car lease. We have always worked on feed back from customers, and on customers who lease a car and then simply renew with the same newer model.
So lets take a look at the best cars 2018 that made number one from the Driver Power survey within the categories that we at UltraCar discuss most with our lease customers.
Best Cars 2018 In Categories
Best city car 2018
The Toyota Aygo has come out on top beating rivals such as the Citroen C1, Kia Picanto and the Hyundai i10. The Toyota Aygo according to the results scored well on appearance, reliability and build quality. When we talk to customers who want a small car but don’t want to compromise on the infotainment will will be steering them towards the Toyota Aygo as this was one of the main scoring areas for the Aygo from drivers. The main factor which shines through is the MPG and running costs, which is exactly why the majority of drivers get a city car.
Best Supermini 2018
A very popular lease vehicle and making the number one spot is the Nissan Micra.
This is a very hot contended category ticking the boxes for so many drivers, there is strong competition such as the Vauxhall Corsa, Skoda Fabia and Peugeot 208, so the Micra has done extremly well here. The Micra is the more modern in the group, with the design change bringing it up to date and making it more desirable. According to the survey ranking very well in Exterior, Ride and Handling, and the all important Infotainment.
Best Compact Family Car 2018
Interesting result this one, with the Toyota Prius beating Ford Focus, Honda Civic and the VW Golf, those 3 runner ups being the first choice for our customers. Perhaps this is a sign of things to come as drivers are swaying towards hybrids, as this also came 4th overall as the best car 2018. The compact Toyota blew rivals away with MPG and running costs, safety features, reliability and build quality. It seems that the infotaimnet, connectivity and electrics need improving if they want to see the Puris continue to do well.
Best Family Car 2018
As we see a steady rise in family car bad credit car leases, we also see an increase in the amount of Mazda 6’s joining our fleet, so no surprise to us in the office that the Mazda 6 is number one according to the survey. Its the look of the Mazda which draws people in, a family car which does not look like a family car! Although the Mazda does not excel in infotainment or even safety features, it certainly makes up for in Practicality & space, interior and comfort. Come on Mazda, you need to be upping your game with the safety and infotainment if you you to stay at the top!
Best Car Overall In 2018
Best Small SUV 2018
If you were going to make a guess compared to the amount you seem to see on the road you may think the Nissan Juke has this, but you would be wrong. According to the survey, completed by drivers the Kia Niro has come out on top beating the Juke, Toyota C-HR and the Audi Q2. It certainly seems from the results that the Niro blows all rivals on the running costs and MPG coming in cheaper than all in the class. The Niro scores high across the board including infotainment, reliability, safety features, ride and handling, practicality and space, interior and comfort, exterior and finally engine and gear box.
Best Mid-sized SUV 2018 & Overall Winner
Taking the top spot for this class and impressively taking the top spot for the most satisfying and best car 2018 overall is the Peugeot 3008. We are leasing a lot of the mid sized SUV’s and we have a mix of the Kia Sportage, Honda CR-V and SEAT Ateca along with the Peugeot 3008 all out on bad credit car leases, all customers seem to be satisfied with their vehicles, so it is interesting to see this result. I guess until you drive one you don’t know what you are missing?
