2018 Car Lease Forecast
Category of vehicle in our 2018 car leasing forecast
In the last couple of years we have seen a growing surge of customers going for crossovers. At Ultracar we can see this trend continuing as more car manufacturers bring out new and much improved models to choose from in this highly competitive class. Another category winner with our customers is the super mini, giving just enough space to fit in a family, but small enough to be a low cost runner.
Which Cars Do We Forecast As The Cars To Have In 2018
There was a point a few years ago that you would need a fairly large budget to get behind the wheel of an SUV, however now that manufacturers have recognised the appetite that customers have for this class there is a lot more choice, and this means varying budgets are catered for.
One of our most popular leases is the Renault Captur this comes in at a great monthly lease price, and depending on the amount of initial payment you are able to put down, could come in for as little as £382.80 including VAT per month. This is an excellent price considering this is with a bad credit rating.
Other popular crossover, which are not losing any popularity are the Nissan Juke, and the Fiat 500x both coming in at a similar price to the Renault Captur meaning you are really just deciding which model better suits your requirements as a vehicle.
If you have a little more to spend, or are looking for a larger crossover then it’s worth considering the Ford Kuga, the Nissan Qash Qai, the Peugeot 2008, the Vauxhall Mokka, the Renault Kadjar, the Kia Sportage or the Jeep Renegade. The leasing trend here is to families and increasingly for business leases.
For those of you looking for premium crossovers you still have a great choice including the Nissan X-Trail, the Peugeot 5008 and the VW Tiguan).
And for those of you who love a brand, love premium, and love a crossover, check out the Audi Q2, the Volvo XC60 and of course the Range Rover Evoque.
Ultracar Car Forecast for the Super Mini in 2018
The super mini class has really grown in recent years and like the SUV class manufactures are coming up with fantastic models to wet the appetites of prospective leasers.
However the super minis are on top when it comes to car sales each month which of course reflects on leased cars also.
We have seen a growth with the supermini class as, not only do your get a vehicle which is economical to run, but also the standard spec on many models is pretty good.
The most popular super minis on our leased fleet are the Ford Fiesta, DS3, Hyundai i20, Citroen C3 and the Nissan Micra these are all coming in around the £300 mark (dependent on the amount of initial you are able to pay) per month on a poor credit car lease.
If you want a German manufacturer in the super mini class then many of our customers go for the VW Golf, this does come with a slightly higher price tag per month. Most of the customers who lease a Golf have always have Golf’s, it would seem once you have driven one, nothing else will do.
If you have a bad credit rating and are looking to lease a crossover or a super mini get in touch with our friendly advisers who will be able to help you.
