Hyundai i30 Review
Although poor sales saw the three-door standard i30 model dropped in 2015, the Hyundai i30 continues evolving and now in its 2nd generation coming in five doors, keeping a rather sporty model in 3 doors.
Ok the Hyundai i30 may not be the biggest head turner but it does offer, reliability, affordability and a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty.
As far as Hatchbacks go it is the better looking of the bunch, with LED lights, a hexagonal grille, and a nice flowing shape to the body of the car.
All the i30 ranges come with key-less entry, tyre pressure monitoring and Bluetooth, with the higher ranges boasting 17”alloys, Sat-Nav, leather effect seats, and automatic lights and wipers.
Driving the Hyundai i30
It is all about economy with both petrol and diesel engines, but when you are choosing an i30 you are not picking the model for its power, you are choosing a nice comfortable, reliable and practical family car.
The standard 1.4l petrol engine offers a smooth, enjoyable drive. With an option of a 1.6l engine which does feels quicker, however perhaps not as smooth. There is also a choice of diesel engine which should give a better overall performance.
Drivers of the i30 have given excellent feedback for its comfort whilst driving, with a majority praising the interior.
Hyundai Flex Steer System comes in some of the models which allows the driver to choose settings such as normal, comfort or sport.
What makes the interior of the i30 so popular with existing drivers?
The i30 might be in the affordable range but this is in way reflected in the interior. It has a great design; the dash and centre console are stylish with a two-tone silver trim.
As a driver you have good visibility and a comfortable adjustable seat, the car has a roomy feel, with plenty of space for all your passengers.
There are four trims to choose from. The basic S models come well equipped, but the SE have more features. From 16-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, leather trim for the steering wheel and gear knob to rear parking sensors. Premium models boast automatic lights and wipers, bigger wheels, climate control, heated front seats and a smart leather-effect trim.
If you are looking for a lease vehicle which will serve your family needs with plenty of comfort for you as a driver, then the i30 would be a great leasing option.
