The New Special Edition MINI Seven
Mini has built a reputation over the years for releasing special editions.
The new Mini Seven is the British carmaker’s first attempt at freshening up its mk3 supermini and celebrates original Austin Seven from 1959 (its namesake)
The Seven gets unique styling inside and out, while MINI says the model has been introduced to showcase the distinct style of both the original and current version of this iconic model.
On the inside, expect to see fabric and leather seats with a diamond matt brown finish, along with a MINI Seven logo on the central instrument cluster. A 6.5-inch display with Bluetooth and automatic dual-zone air con come as standard.
Most stunning is the paint job – something Mini calls ‘Lapisluxury Blue’ – which the designers say is “the most intensive” ever applied to one of their cars. If that’s too blue for you, you also get the options of ‘Pepper White’, ‘Midnight Black’ and ‘British Racing Green’ with a choice of stripes also available.
As ever, a whole bevy of optional extras are available. A Seven Chili pack adds a full leather interior and steering wheel, along with LED headlights and cruise control. A panoramic roof, heated seats, sat-nav and a Harmon Kardon sound system are also available.
It’ll make its public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on 23-26 June 2017, with the order books now open. Prices for the three-door Seven are from £18,545, with five-door models costing just £600 more.
