Have You Seen The New Volkswagen Tiguan XL?
The all new Volkswagen Tiguan XL has been spied out on the roads in Europe without the mask of any disguise.
The new Tiguan will feature a 110mm longer wheelbase than the existing model creating an overall larger SUV which can take on rivals such as the Nissan Qashqai.
In the above image, the standard 5-seat Tiguan (left) is noticeably shorter than the brand new XL model (right).
The Tiguan’s growth spurt pays dividends inside, where 29mm of extra rear knee room is claimed and the boot increases to 615-litres - 145 litres more than previously. That shoots up to a full 1,655 litres with the seats folded flat. The interior design is, much like the exterior, almost a spitting image of what you’ll find in the current Passat and Golf.
The standard Tiguan boasts one of the nicest looking cabins in its class. Besides an extra pair of seats, the Tiguan XL’s interior should look identical to its smaller cousin. The centre console will boast a minimalist design and a large central infotainment screen. We expect Volkswagen’s Active Info Display – a secondary screen mounted in place of conventional analogue dials – to be available on top-spec models.
